kapuahi: (H50 - Danny - Really?)
Already....Sad isn't it. It's going to be a long hiatus.

What are your plans for the next three months?

Me? I've got a few things planned.

I'm working on watching the complete series so far of Supernatural, Stargate Atlantis, and maybe NCIS. Thinking about watching the first season of a couple of shows that popped up this year, notably Grimm and that thing with Poppy Montgomery.

Creatively? I've got some big fics that are so close to finished it's just going to take a little bit of work to push them over. Also I've had a huge idea that I'm not sure what to do with. I want to work on it but I know already it's going to put everything else I want to do offline so I'm not sure I want to start or even if I can do it on my own. So grab a hot beverage and settle in, maybe you can help me decide.

By Season 1 Standards, Season 2 pretty much sucked, am I right? I think part of it was our expectations, part of it was shitty and stunt casting and the rest was the writing falling in a big Journey-to-the-Centre-of-the-Earth hole. Which got me to thinking, what if it did live up to expectations, what if all the casting was spot on adding incredible talent to the already incredible mix, what if the writers actually remembered WTF they had introduced and actually used it from episode to episode. That thought brought me to the idea that we have talented writers in fandom. We could fix this. And I really think we could.

What if we kept their actors and their cases and their overarching parameters and rewrote the season? You know what I mean don't you? Lets not drop the ball on Kono, lets actually have the 'offscreen' moments make it on screen. Lets actually make Lori the kickass governor's spy she was allegedly supposed to be, and while we're there lets make her actually able to act. Lets have Malia actually speak at her own wedding.

Think we could pull that off and make it satisfying to all of us?
