Chin and Malia are so completely adorable together. Malia is beautiful and they play them so perfectly together. FYI, Malia checking the ring on her finger over Chin’s shoulder is so adorably in love that it’s just perfect.

I get that they all have outside lives but can’t the Bot carry sensible shoes in her car because I’m getting really sick of her turning up to crime scenes in Fuck Me Heels.

Steve’s expression tells me that he might sub consciously know that there’s something not quite right, but he’s Steve, he considers her a friend it’s not in him not to help her. What do we know about Jenna really. I get the impression that Josh is her only family and Five-0 her only friends. She’s not got a lot of options really.

The scene with Danny and Steve, absolutely adorable in the Yeah Jerk, I’m concerned, /I’ll think about you the whole time scene. They are so married. Though this scene was the first time I’ve gotten anything outside of I’m a plastic barbie out of the Bot. She almost gave the appearance of someone tallying up indiscretions against Steve/Danny for a moment there. And then it was gone.

And just why did Danny have nervous tic in his eye when he said everything is fine?

I love how they’ve had continuity with Kono’s bullet scar, also how good was it that she was ready to smite Jenna’s ass for betraying Steve/them.

I loved Steve’s Korean subtitling for us.

You know, we all know what AOL can do and how well he can do it, but this episode had better put those ridiculous critics/reviewers that wouldn’t know subtlety if it bit them on the ass in their place. He owned this episode. And while I’m on the subject I have to say Scotty Caan was perfect as well. I’ll admit I’m a Steve girl first and foremost, but in this episode, Danny was perfect, his barely contained frantic worry for his friend/partner is palpable and heartbreaking, as was his distress for Jenna. The pair of them need to do this every episode.

Likewise for Larissa, a lot of people don’t like Jenna, I however, do. I hate that they killed her but at least they didn’t fuck her over. She was a naïve young woman in love, she would do anything to get Josh back and I honestly believe that she really thought that Steve was good enough to be able to save himself.

Steve’s face when Jenna revealed her duplicity? When are his people going to stop betraying him like that?

Steve on a leash, I think I’m the only one in fandom that didn’t find hot. I just wanted to untie him.

I love the way Chin and Kono try to talk Danny down from his panic. Not working, but nice that they tried.

How long before we see Wade/Joe slash, because they were totally on an old military dude date when Danny found them.

Poor Danny is terrified for Steve, his voice cracked because ‘he thinks hes in trouble’.

Poor Jenna. She really thought that WF would give him to her if she did as he asked.

And FYI, being there for a heartbeat does not give the Bot the right to make the ‘some friend’ line.

I love that Danny put Steve above Grace. Also he should wear Steve’s daily uniform more often.

Yes it wouldn’t happen in the real world, but it was nice that the SEAl’s turned up to help. It’s nice the little network they have that can help out now.
It was sad watching Jenna realise that it all could have gone differently if she had gone to Steve.

Jimmy Buffett was cool.

Strawberry Fields and Tangerine, what is it with the military and fruit.
Danny is so polite when he’s freaking out!

So they’re in an Asian country, wouldn’t it have been just a tiny bit more sensible to send Kono with them. You know someone who could, I don’t know, look like she actually belonged there?

Courtesy of Wo Fat and his cattle prod and his ‘I’m only going to whump on Steve if he’s tied up and already three parts beaten’ have put me off Iron Chef America.

As much as I love him, he’s been whumped to death, he can get his feet that close to his hands? Honestly Steve? I'm amazed you could even walk. There is only one conclusion, he is superman!

Poor Danny seeing Jenna, he doesn’t deal with personal loss like the others, he can’t just put it aside, I like that.

Love the trap they set for the convoy but I was ready to pitch a fit if Joe found Steve.

But Yay! Danny found his Steve.

So you just know I have an opinion don’t you?

My pros
Steve/Danny and Jenna everything about all of them in this episode.
Jimmy Buffett was perfect.
Sean MacCormac is hot please to be bringing him back.
Also keep Wade because that gives Joe someone to play with who isn’t Steve. And on the subject of Joe he was just the perfect balance this ep.

My Cons.
Lori. If you need further explanation on that you weren’t watching the same show I was.

Yup, word, really :)

Also, on rewatching it - someone needs to send Lauren the memo about Lori not being love interest for Steve, because the looks she was throwing him at the end certainly make it seem like she's got the hots for him (or maybe it's Lauren's acting?). She's getting nothing back from Steve, though - no chemistry there, his looks were all for Danny :)

I thought all of the actors were spot on this episode and AOL in particular showed a range of emotions that was damn impressive.

Not a fan of Jenna's, but I liked that the show let her redeem herself by helping Steve when she realized that Wo Fat played her.

I really liked that Lori was cut off from the Steve/Danny interplay. Steve didn't spare her a look as he walked out and Danny didn't clue her into what was happening and yet she asked again. For such a great profiler, hasn't she ever heard the phrase "None of your business?"

I'm not liking Kono's getting sidelined yet again in favor of Lori--Kono should have been in the helicopter, laughing along with Steve, Danny and Chin.

Mmmm...I just enjoyed reliving it all with your long lovely recap here (yes, at my desk now and I'm working, honest). Couple of things you mentioned that I skipped over in my haste to get the gushing posted last night...Kono getting pissed - loved that! And Steve translating the Korean - very cool.

For the record, I didn't find the Steve tied up hot - that's actually very squicky for me. I found the beat up Steve hot. I'm not sure that says anything more flattering about me. LOL

Old military dude date. Ahahahaha. That made me choke on my coffee!

Was Sean MacCormac the guy they had in the blue lit interogation room of pretty? I'm not familiar with him, but he was lovely. Everyone always looks so good in that room.

And your 'con' there? Yeah. I was thinking this morning - she shouldn't even have been there. It makes sense that Kono, Chin and Danny would risk their lives for Steve, but Lori's known him, what? Couple of months? If only they'd let Kono fire the rocket launcher and leave Lori back on communications detail - then Kono would have been there for the team schmoop at the end and all would have been right with the world.

It says something about how awesome this ep was that even with that egregious error, I still loved it.

Heh, I'm totally a Danny fangirl. He's my favourite. Steve is actually my least favourite. Not that I don't adore him and everything, but it's something like Danny > Wonder Cousins > Steve for me. I like them all of course, I just enjoy Danny too much (partly due to my relating to him, hmm). I love how he's so good at emotions with his face (distress over the Kono arc, and now over finding Jenna dead, etc.) and... ok I'm gonna stop now lol. Point is this episode would have been great if it wasn't for Barbie. I told Lenkov (@his twitter) that Barbie is ruining everything. Naturally he ignored this. Doesn't matter; I'll keep trying every Monday. I want her gone, period.

This! Totally this! I may have actually screamed this at the TV. I wasn't even sure why Lori was so gung ho about going on the mission at all after the way Joe described it. The rest of them, hell yes, but not Lori. She just doesn't have enough... history with them to even warrant wanting to sacrifice all for Steve. It made no sense. She should have been the one spouting rules and regs to the rest of them about how stupid it would be to go after Steve.

To me he even seemd to be pushing her away when she detached from her ridiculous hug.

Maybe the four of them will treat her differently now that they have been burned by Jenna.

I really like Jenna and if the team had to have a fifth member I wish it could have been her. But I did really like the redemption because somehow the betrayal didn't seem so bad when you realised she wasn't doing it to hurt them just to get back someone she loved.

I'm tired of Kono being sidelined for her.

I love it when he does the foreign language thing, and I don't care if he has t right or not, it sounds so effortless and real that it's good.

I hate it when they tie them up or even the beatings. I don't mind the aftermath, but actually watching the beatings/restraining makes me all verklempt, helps even less when it's Steve, or Danny for that matter.

Hope you recovered from the coffee choke, but it so was a date, they even have the seniors bickering down just right.

Sean MacCormac was Lt Bradley Jacks aka the SEAL that Steve saved in Kame'e.

She just shouldn't have been there. She was the only discordant note in the whole thing, and for the record if she had fired the RPG sitting the way she was it would have shot her right out the open door behind her. And there goes yet another opportunity to withdraw her services from the team.

I did love this ep, like I said probably in my top 3, the only thing that was missing was a certain Navy Lt that I'm sure would have been able to help if she hadn't been banished to make room for the wooden claws of no chemistry.
