So I like to think I'm a polite driver, and maybe it's just me but when someone does something nice/polite on the road for me I acknowledge, a shaka, a nod or a thank you in the mirror if it's a close nice thing. It annoyed me today, I was caught in a traffic snarl on the highway ad becuase I like to think that the whole pay it forward thing will happen (or people treat you the way you treat them) I always let a car or two in at the on ramps. It doesn't hurt since you're both at a creawl anyway right? Well by the time I got to my exit I had let 11 cars into the traffic in front of me. What did I get for my troubles? One hand wave and one flipped bird.

I was seriously like What the Hell, it doesn't cost you anything to wave a thank you.

Do y'all expect a nod or some acknowledgement of good deeds done?

So, it's like this, if you can't find anything nice to say, don't say any fucking thing. In fact I'd really appreciate it if you'd take your bat and your ball and just go away. Preferably before the next ep.

I'll cut this because I'm about to spoil you if you haven't seen it, but I'm about to get ranty, and no its none of you on my friends list. I made the mistake of reading a comm because you know, this was touted to be the happy making episode. And it was. Until I read a review.

And in other news, the things I liked?

Spoilers ahoy )

ETA: Also 'fans' heaping the hate on Cath for breaking Navy regs? Why should she be singled out? I love my show, but c'mon it's not as if the bulk of it isn't twisting or just flat out breaking a whole lot of civilian/police/military regs? It's called creative license. But for God's sake if you're going to single Cath out, at least stand up and check off the infractions from every one else as well. Sheez.

Ever since I can remember there has been a certain order of priority in television viewing in my house.

When new shows are discovered the interest level is measured by a couple of factors, which may or may not be:

Military
Police
Fire Department
Cowboys
Vampires

It's simple really. If you made a show that was about an army of Vampires who fought crime and fires in the old west I pretty much guarantee we would be riveted.

Now that you know the way our program choices go, and if you know me, you'll realise that a certain blonde 'actor' has stuffed up another program for me. Any guesses?

I may have availed myself of a copy of Chicago Fire. Because hello, Firefighters and Firetrucks. However, not two minutes in I had the H50 Season 2 teeth grinding going on.

Now she's spoiling the Mainland for me too.

So, here’s the thing. I was going to do a review of 2.16 but there are many of them already bounding about that are far more eloquent than I could be for one. For another I’ve noticed that the departure of Homeland Security Officer Lori Weston has stirred up all the misogynist blatherings that abounded early in her shortlived H50 career.

This is a topic that I have something to say about.

And before I start, let me say I’m not looking for a fight, if anyone comes here looking for one, I won’t be taking the bait, so don’t even bother to go there. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. This is mine, and it’s under a cut for spoilers and the possibly annoying thoughts that it may contain.

And if you've lasted through that you really don't want to get me started on the Governor, Joe and the percieved acting skills of the extended cast.
