You know I rocked the Spice Girls Girl Power thing like the best of them.
I believe that women can do everything a man can do (except serve on the front line - which before you jump up and down has nothing to do with a lack of ability and everything to do with men).
I believe a woman can be anything she wants to be with the proviso that she has the appropriate ability.
I believe a woman can be her own person with her own values, without having to be defined by a man.
But, What I don't get is that we are supposed to accept a female television character regardless of what she is/does simply because she's a woman and if we don't accept her we are automatically denigrating our own gender. Or worse be made to feel like our own opinion is in some way a sexist attack.
Exhibit A - Lori Weston. If she had been a man, would there still be bitching about the negativity surrounding her?
