kapuahiMy first memory of music as a fan? That would be the Bay City Rollers.
My earliest memory of the Rollers were Sunday afternoons spent at my Nana's place, she'd make us an early dinner (which was usually fish fingers and veges, or tinned spaghetti on toast) and we'd eat our dinner on little fold up TV dinner tables sitting on the sofa watching the Bay City Rollers 1/2 hour tv show. If she let me watch that, then I promised to sit quietly and let her watch the news in peace. It was a good trade off if you ask me. Also? It seems I'm always in fandoms where they aren't averse to slashing themselves.
Also, see those corny pants they're wearing? I spent at least three years of the 70's in my roller strollers a tee shirt with a big W on the front and a scarf. I had a pair for every day of the week, but they always had the yellow and black tartan. I was 9 when I found them and it seems they started my affection for all things Scottish and especially men in full scottish kit.
