So, since AO3 came about with all it's awesomeness I've only posted my fic to my AO3 account. Talking to a friend recently has got me wondering if I should also be posting it to my personal LJ.

So what do you think?

I don't know about anyone else, but as long as there's links (like in a master post) or some kind of "hey, all my fic is over here" directive, I don't mind going to other sites to read. I just have to know where to look, basically, especially since I'm not used to AO3 or dreamwidth or any of those other sites. /still baffled by technology sometimes O.o

I love AO3, I used to just about drive myself nuts remembering everything I had to do to post in LJ and the coding and stuff. Now it takes me a couple of minutes and I'm posted and all good.

I post on both LJ and AO3, because that way I figure I have a back up if either goes down one day.

I agree that the LJ coding is time-consuming - I actually have a Word file on my laptop with the headings and coding laid out, and I just enter the details (title etc) for an individual story then cut and paste into LJ when I want to post. As well as saving time it also means I'm less likely to make a mistake and leave something out.

As long as you make posts in your LJ to link to your AO3 when you've written new stuff, it's all good though. Though what Azziria said makes sense, to have a back-up somewhere.

Pineapples!
