+ I love Kensi (for me Kensi/Deeks are NCIS:LA’s Steve/Danny) and for the record I’d trust her more than I’d trust Joe. And I like the little insert that Steve knows Sam. More about Joe later.

+ Love that Danny can’t afford butterfish but he’s changed Grace’s eating habits because it’s better for her. Also love that Danny’s sole concern is the son, he’s such a good Daddy to everybody.

+ Please stop with the Lori’s psycho analysising people. I didn’t like her doing it to Danny and I sure as hell don’t need her doing it to random crime victims

+ Also stop with the mix and matching of the team, they’re detectives not swimsuits, they each have their matching half. Don’t do it.

+ while we’re at it can I have regular Kono back? Just because we have the queen of 6 inch heels on the team now why does Kono need to be glammed up. She could wear a sack and still run circles around her.

+Did anyone else think that their raid on the home invaders had similarities to the Episode three video?

+ How I have missed Kickass!Kono. I’m convinced she’s the baddest ass on the team after Steve.

+ Nice take down from BAMF!Danny, but really he didn’t need affirmation from HSB.

+ I do like the fact that Max creeped her out. Maybe if the team took to sniffing her daily she’d go away, but why did she have to smell like all my favourite girly smells. If she is a female McGarrett as they want us to believe surely she would have smelled of Brut or Old Spice or even gun oil and rubbing alcohol.

+ Wo Fat please kill Joe, and could you please make yourself collateral damage?

+ many gratuitous Danny Ass shots tonight, perhaps to balance the level of Steve Shirtlessness shots.

+ Please show, don’t be thinking gratuitous thigh holster is going to distract me from the things you’re doing that pisses me off. Thigh holster trumps a lot of wrong but HSB is not one of them.

+clearly I’ve been off my game because I only just noticed the cargo pants are button fly.

+ Much as I love them individually please tell me there is no Kamekona/Max slash in our future

+Danny is more concerned than he would be if he was in the ring himself

+ I hate MMA but that running up the wall of the cage thing was hot.

+ there is something really odd about that whole final scene, I'm not liking that Steve isn't sharing with Danny again. That can only lead to bad things.

My Issues?

+Joe is getting even hinkier. I think that bringing in Kensi was a ploy to get him to let go of the investigation. I’m starting to think he may be in some sort of cahoots with WF and he’s crossed some sort of line that makes him part of the mess WF needs to self clean. Also I wouldn’t be so quick to pin Makoto’s murder on WF…just saying.

+ Lori is wrong. She doesn’t fit with any of them, she’s not the right actress for the part, there isn’t room for her (or anyone else) in a role of the size they seem to think she needs. She’s taking time and character exposition from the four characters they made us love last year. Lose her and move on Show, interesting experiment but wasn’t a keeper.

+ Everyone in that entire cast looks rested, except Alex. Can we please fix that?

My thoughts for the future.

+ I think there is a whole big kick ass sub plot coming for Danny around maybe his brother and Gracie? There are too many overly obvious things that are hittting him square in the chest re Children and Siblings for them to just brush past them. but then again these are the same people that gave us Lori Weston so who knows.

Seriously, I almost feel bad for Alex. I get that Steve is involved in basically all the storylines, but nearly everyone has gotten more time off with the new characters but him.

I really hope them doing better in ratings recently doesn't make them think Lori is working. At least from what i've seen, a lot of people don't like her.

When you look at it, the Season 1 team has, with the exception of Steve, gotten a much lighter load. Add in that the two newbies are more Steve affiliated, that means that Alex is in practically every team related scene. That workload has got to be wearing. He looked exhausted in this ep.

Lori is not a viable long term option in the bulk of the public opinions. Sad but true.

The Loribot lying to Danny was the writers trying to show us that Lori is JUST LIKE STEVE. So she agrees with him about the fighting.

Wow I haven't seen the episode yet (only had time to run through it), but you speak from the bottom of my heart about everything.

1. The Steve and Danno are EXACTLY like Kensi and Deeks (and they're all my favorite characters) and McKensi would be sooooo hot (if Steve and Danno weren't secretly married xD)

2. Joe is hinky

3. Lori Weston is BS!! And she doesn't need so much screen time as a babysitter for the governor

4. I want Kono back, OUR Kono like we knew her!

I really hope they're going back to normal, like in the first Season, because I don't want CBS to cancel them (like they did with Alex' other two shows) because of bad ratings.

1. I love Kensi and Deeks, they were avtually the reason I started watching NCIS LA. The UST with them doesn't seem forced at all. Steve had more chemistry with her in 3 minutes then he has had in 5 episodes with Loribot.

2. It was horrible the way Joe laid the guilt trip on Steve, it's not like he didn't already have the weight of the world on his shoulders, now Joe is twisting things to suit himself. I wish we knew what his deal was.

3. Lori's character is ridiculous. All she does is take time from the rest of the team, and make every scene she's in awkward. I can't remember one awkward scene last season, this season there is at least one every episode.

4. I loved season one Kono. She was natural, her hair was messy but still gorgeous, she wore clothes that were gorgeous but suitable to her work. This last ep, she's got heavier make up, boufy styled hair and glam clothes. Thats not our Kono.

Me too, fingers crossed they realise they've taken the wrong path.

I know I've been bad at commenting but I agree with all your points.

I have to add a couple of things:
1. I don't know how Lauren German was hired without a basic chemistry test. Seriously, no one should be trying to add a permanent character to an established team without seeing how he or she fits in with the existing characters. From what I've seen so far, she doesn't gel with any of them - not Kono, not Chin (witness the extremely awkward scene in 2-05 last week), not Danny (throughout, though of all of them I think he's coped the best) and most definitely not Steve (honestly, that coffee house scene in 2-02 I thought he was going to push himself through the partition - I have never before seen anyone's body language scream "get me out of here" so loudly; and it hasn't got any better in subsequent episodes). Every scene she is in is awkward and uncomfortable, and it's not just the corny lines, it's her.

2. Even if she were ten times better, she's been taking scenes way from Danny and Chin, and now from Kono too. It definitely should have been Danny taping Steve's hands (and as an aside, that didn't look like any hand taping I've seen before, though my experience is mainly Muay Thai).

3. Steve (or rather, Alex) looks exhausted. He needs a break. With four characters to balance you think they would be able to manage that occasionally.

4. I did notice the careful attention to trousers last week and tonight. Please continue.

5. It's great that Kono is back, and appropriate that she may still be a little subdued for an episode or two, but I'm looking forward to her kicking ass in a major way very soon, preferably starting with Lori.

6. I am feeling much more Danny-love this season. Maybe it just took me a while to appreciate him, or maybe it's just that he's not getting as many crappy lines as Steve is. I'll be interested to see if we get some more Danny-focused episodes as we go through the season. Also, bonus points for him keeping that mouthguard warm. And in my mind, I know exactly who's giving Steve the liniment rubdown after the match and what it's going to lead to ...

So, pretty random thoughts but I do think the season is getting better. If the rate of change continues it should be back to S1 standards by Christmas ... which, when you think about it, is just when LG's 12-episode contract finishes. I'm keeping my fingers crossed anyway.

Hey, it's not like we don't analyse together all the time right?

1. I don't know what she's been like in other things, and I don't know what she's like personally, but she has zero chemistry with anyone (regulars and guests - it was just painful watching her with Patty Duke) and no warmth on screen either. I honestly can't work out if it's the character we all hate or the delivery of the character that screwed her over before she even hit the screen herself.
2. Thats the one thing that is unforgivable. Danny, Chin and Kono proved themselves over and over last year but now they're pushed aside to give her the 'I'm a superwoman' appearance. And while we're there I coulnd't care what she has done in her past, I don't care if she has a Liz taylor list of ex husbands, I'm invested in the characters we have, I'm sorry her backstory is frankly TL:DR.
3. There were scenes in 206 that Alex looked dead on his feet. If they want to play like he's the face of the franchise, don't work him into the ground. It's easy really.
4. Trousers, both well cut and button fly, really need to continue.
5. Kono doesn't need the glamming up they seem to think she needs, she was beautiful and kickass perfect last season. She doesn't need to compete with the Loribot.
6. I know it's odd right? He's always been there and I've always loved him but this season he's just THERE so much more.

All I want for Christmas is a dead Loribot.

Does she really only have a 12 episode contract? I noticed last night she now has an "Also starring" billing which doesn't bode well. She isn't working for me and is taking away from what I love about the show, particularly Kono who I miss desperately. I'd love them to think the same but... that's not the vibe I'm getting. She's in more and more as the season goes on.

I'm 99% sure she has a 12-episode contract - I remember reading about it back in June when she was first announced. Given that they are filming ep 10 right now, the network would have to make a decision this week on whether to pick her up for the second 12. On my reading of the way the fan reaction has solidified over the last fortnight, I think she'll be written out, but I can't predict if they will leave an option for her to return later (eg reassigning her back to Homeland Security) or if they'll kill her off. Personally I'm with azziria and kapuahi - all I want for Christmas is a dead Loribot.

I tried to give Lori the benefit of the doubt but the actress has zero chemistry with Alex and she is completely unbelievable as a kind and concerned profiler--she can't even pretend to muster up sympathy when she's talking to the victims.

She does well with the action sequences but that's about it--especially when the show has Jake's sister emoting so beautifully. Now that woman could act :)
