So, in this post [livejournal.com profile] stellarmeadow asked for 8. I'll put my music player on shuffle and write the first ten songs that play.

And because I know what mad crazy Duranie she is I decided I wouldn’t stop until I reached a Duran song.

And because you know that I can’t shut up to save myself, you’re going to get commentary for songs that need it, and likewise because I know my music can be a little ‘eclectic’ I’ve included a youtube link to each song as well. I however am not going to apologise for my passion for eighties, country or theatre music. My sister says my music is the vomit of the offspring of a Broadway Theatre Performer and Gene Autry.

So sit down, buckle up and hopefully you’ll enjoy the ride.

Oh for the statisticians amongst you? I have 8493 songs on my music player. This is the first 21 that came up on shuffle. I did however exclude the classical, opera and choral pieces (of which there were 15 that were discarded).

Hawaiian Wedding Song – Hawaiian Wedding Song – Elvis Presley
I have never been a huge Elvis fan, mainly because I grew up in a house with a mother that practically inhales him. This song, however, has always been my favourite.
Jai Ho – Slumdog Millionaire OST
Come Away with Me – Norah Jones.
Big Country – Big Country
Can’t Help Falling In Love – Elvis Presley
This is Australia Calling – John Williamson
Thunderstruck – ACDC
Stand and Deliver – Adam and the Ants They were camp and kitschy and a little bit odd, but they had two drummers. What's not to like?
Figured You Out – Nickleback
Five Colours in Her Hair – McFly
Already There – Lonestar This always makes me miss my soldier.
Faerie Tale – Spiral Dance I'm a pagan, this is our leading Pagan Folk Rock band, and halloween theme.
Affirmation – Savage Garden
Let’s Go to Bed – The Cure
I’ll Cover You – Rent OST Someone really needs to write a crack with McDanno as Angel/Tom, bonus points for having Steve in the heels.
How You Ever Gonna Know _ garth Brooks
Tuckers Daughter – Ian Moss
She’s My Ute – Lee Kernaghan For the non-aussies, A Ute is what we call a pick up truck.
I'm Sorry – Beecake Billy Boyd's band. Also, Johnnie the drummer is wee and Scottish and adorable.
The vasectomy song – John Williamson
I am, You Are – The Seekers
Set the Fire to The Third Bar – Snow Patrol and Martha Wainwright The song is beautiful but watching the clip I have an insane urge to write a H50 Coda to 2.01 with Steve and Danny mirroring the video, Steve would totally know exactly where Danny is right? Also I think I should be embarrassed that this and Chasing Cars are the most played songs on my Ipod, by at least 40 x more than the others.
Is There Something I Should Know – Duran Duran Met them once, almost another lifetime ago, well Roger and Simon at least.

Adam & the Ants! FTW! I ♥ them!

I met Adam once! I have half of the t-shirt he was wearing at a concert. He tore the sweaty thing off of his body in the middle of performing "Physical" and threw half of it at me. I still have it somewhere. :D

Gods, I'm probably dating myself. LOL

I actually recognised five of them. (This figure would have been a WHOLE LOT HIGHER if you had kept in the classical / opera / choral pieces.)
