So, this isn’t technically a character study in the truest sense of the word, but we all seem to have wildly different opinions of characters and their actions, so I’m curious to see how varied we are and maybe get some new insight into our beloved characters and how they affect the H50 universe.
First up? One Miss Grace Williams.

My thoughts? H50 is chock full of Daddy issues, in season one nary an episode passed without Steve, Danny or the victim of the week having some sort of paternal issue, each and every one of them negative. Grace? She’s the show’s way of giving us positivity. Not all fathers are cold, unloving bastards. Danny is a bright shining example of that. He gave up everything he loved for that little girl and she doesn’t make him regret it. She loves her daddy, is the conduit between her often warring parents and gives her father and step father a meeting point.
But more importantly for me, I think that she was the driving force behind letting Steve find his humanity again. Think about it, he sees what a devoted father Danny is, he sees how Grace is growing happily, he is completely helpless against the love and affection she lavishes on him. Danny shares his monkey with Steve either consciously or unconsciously knowing she is drawing him out. It's so completely different to his own experiences that it confuses him sometimes.
Grace is the pure heart that makes all their sometimes hard hearts see the best of whatever situation they share.
